We’re excited to announce that the Founder of ATJ’s Home Improvement has recently graduated from a prestigious 10,000 Small Businesses Program, a philanthropic initiative launched and administered by Goldman Sachs. In Chicago, the program is offered to qualifying entrepreneurs in partnership with City Colleges of Chicago.
Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses provides entrepreneurs across the country with the resources they need to grow and create jobs as they expand their businesses by utilizing newly acquired knowledge and resources.
Small businesses have generated 64 percent of net new jobs over the past 15 years. They represent 99.7 percent of all employer firms, hire 40 percent of high tech workers, and produce 13 times more patents per employee than large patenting firms.
Goldman Sachs’ CEO Lloyd Blankfein, Berkshire Hathaway’s Warren Buffett and Harvard Business School professor Michael Porter are the chairs of the program’s advisory council.
Since his graduation, there’s no shortage of exciting changes here at ATJ’s Home Improvement. The company has moved into a brand new office. Our website continues to evolve into a state-of-the-art online hub for local homeowners looking for a reliable, high-quality roofing services. In addition, we are working on a list of internal structural improvements to improve communication between our field consultants and our office staff.
“For small business owners, their business is their #1 priority. At the same time, it’s important to invest in yourself and in your personal growth and education. 10,000 Small Businesses is one of the best programs out there helping business owners to do that and much more. Many thanks to Goldman Sachs for this opportunity and many thanks for all the other alumni; I met so many fantastic people who are true business leaders and great assets to their communities”, said the Founder of ATJ’s Home Improvement.
