I’m a Certified Master Inspector. There are only a few of us in a state of Illinois and three of them are my students. I’ve inspected a lot of cedar shake roofs, so I know what a good shake roof is. So far my experience with roofing contractors installing cedar shake roofs was kind of lousy. To put it simply: they just don’t get it.
